Jodhamal starts ISA Project with Cartooning, Exhibition

JAMMU: Jodhamal Public School kick started the ISA journey part 2 with a project on Art and Culture of India, Sri Lanka and Jordan.
All three countries will be collaborating for this project together with UAE on the Art and Culture of these four countries who are international partners of Jodhamal for this ISA Project of British Council.
Since JMPS is already the first one to win this ISA award from British Council for 2013-2016, the school is taking it forward by working on SEVEN projects for 2016-2019 International School Award by British Council.
Chander Shekhar, the ace Cartoonist from Jammu was the Resource Person who taught 200 students of grade XI and XII as to how to draw a cartoon and also had hands on experience of the wonderful cartoons made by the students on the spot.
Subrat Sharma of class XII A proved his drawing skills by drawing a R.K Laxman cartoon within three minutes. Many other kids drew the cartoons as guided by Chander Shekhar. Caricature is a way of painting and this workshop was conducted in line with the Project for ISA where India, UAE, West Africa and Sri Lanka are involved with Jodhamal.
Students had already had a good exchange of Art and Culture with Sri Lanka and Jordan and with due course of time they are going to collaborate with UAE as well.
The workshop ended with a beautiful Caricature Exhibition and each and every child appreciated the Exhibition organized by the Principal Trilok Singh Bist and his support staff Kuldeep Singh and Satish Kumar in the school.
Trilok Singh Bist, appreciated the efforts of the HoD Arts Nivedita Sharma and the British Council ISA Coordinator Bhawna Madaan for such a workshop and exhibition where famous Chader Shekhar was invited to interact with the students and to give tips on caricature and cartooning.
