Jodhamal to host school principals meet

JAMMU: Jodhamal Public School has been selected to host the Conference of School Principals (CSP) for the year 2015 which will be held on 17th January. This was stated by Trustee of the School, Nandan Kuthiala in a press conference, here on Wednesday.
“The meet is being organised under the aegis of PrincipalsForum and TeacherSity Delhi, both these organizations are pan-India and have international presence,” Nandan said.
He told reporters that around 200 trustees, directors, principals and vice principals besides delegates from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Chattishgarh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa and J and K are expected to attend the CSP.
The panel of the conference includes Internationally Acclaimed Educationist Dr. Robin Attfield from London, UK, Om Pathak from TeacherSity, Delhi and Dimple Anil and Col B.S Braria from New Delhi, he added.
The theme for the discussion will be “Principals as Assessment Mentors in Schools – A Compelling Priority”.
Principal of the School, Trilok Singh Bist said that such conferences are very helpful in reinforcing the new age developments and innovations in education sector and being the stakeholders in the education for the future generation, Jodhamal Public School took the initiative of getting this conference to the benefit of all school principals of Jammu.
About 40 principals of government schools are also deputed by the Commissioner Secretary, School Education J and K, Nirmal Sharma and the Director School Education, R.A Inqulabi, who will be chairing the opening and the closing ceremony of the conference, respectively, he mentioned.
