JAMMU: While intensifying the anti-encroachment drive, Jammu Municipal Corporation on Tuesday demolished 15 structures being raised on the State Government land.
On the directions of Commissioner, Kiran Wattal, the Chief Enforcement Officers along with field staff of Enforcement Wing undertook an extensive anti-encroachment drive and about 15 illegal structures being raised at Narwal Chowk on State land were demolished with the help of police.
The Jammu Municipal Corporation appealed to the shopkeepers to keep their goods within their premises without breaching the building line to avoid seizure of their articles and penalty for such defaults. The Rehari owners were also asked to keep their Rehris mobile as the stationary Rehris are source of obstruction for the free flow of vehicular traffic and also cause inconvenience to the pedestrians.
