JAMMU: An awareness camp was organised by J and K Women’s Development Corporation (JKWDC) here at Village Chak Bhagwan Bishnah on Tuesday. More than 100 participants mostly women participated in the camp and were apprised about the schemes run under JKWDC by Ravi Kumar Field Supervisor.
Every scheme was discussed in detail during the camp and the ladies were asked to take benefit of the schemes. The girls who have left their studies due to financial problems were asked to avail education loan facilities and continue their studies to prove their mettle. The ladies were asked to come forward and take soft loans under various schemes like National Minorities Development Finance Corporation, NBCFDC, NHDFC and ESW from the Corporation and start their own small business unit to support their families in running the day to day life.
Among others Janak Raj, Sarpanch of the Village, Madan Lal and Anita Kumari social worker also spoke on the occasion.
