JAMMU: The JK Teachers Forum (JKTF) has announced its support and cooperation to the Govt’s move of ‘Enrollment Drive’ in Government schools and emphasised upon all District & Zonal leadership to extend full support to concerned Educational authorities so that drive can gain momentum.
In a statement issued here, President EJAC and Chairman JKTF Mohd Rafique Rather extended support and cooperation to education authorities in the enrollment drive, calling it an innovative endeavour to attract students in the age-group of 6-14 years for enrollment in Government schools.
Rather has advised its Central, Provisional, District and Zonal leaderships to participate in the enrollment drive for making it successful.
While seeking cooperation from parents, Rather said that the performance of Govt schools for last several years is satisfactory and results are improving at a rapid speed. He further added that Government is providing several facilities in these schools including free text books, free uniforms, MDM etc. Even Govt schools offer facilities of scholarships & platforms to skilled youth to excel at local, national & even international level. Government School teachers are highly qualified, efficient, skilled and dedicated and are ready to deliver, provided there is required infrastructure in place, he said. (PTI)
