JKSAC extends full support to AIIMS CC’s chain hunger strike

JAMMU: Jammu Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC) extended full support to the call given by AIIMS Coordination Committee for starting the chain hunger strike on 12th June to intensify the agitation against the discrimination with Jammu people regarding the establishment of AIIMS in Kashmir Valley.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, President JKSAC, Gurdev Singh said that there are no medicare facilities and infrastructure available in Jammu even after passing of Six decades and people has to go to outside Jammu even for minor ailments which proves very costly.
He further said that it is unfortunate that BJP has succumbed to coalition partner’s pressure on the issue to deprive Jammu people from their legitimate rights. He said that Congress has always betrayed Jammu people and failed to address many sensitive issues such as settlement of DPs of 1947 from POK and other categories who are agitating for the last six decades. Now the sides have changed and BJP is following the footsteps of the outgoing players and seems to dump the legitimate issues of DPs, he added.
He appealed to people of Jammu particularly to DPs/Refugees of all categories to wholeheartedly support the AIIMS CC in their struggle as the issue concern with the life of every individual.
