KATHUA: The Jammu and Kashmir Rollers Skating Association (JKRSA) presented the Kathua District Skating Championship at Delhi Public School Rajbagh Kathua.
This event brought together skaters from various age groups, showcasing their exceptional talent and passion for the sport.
The championship was a vibrant display of skill and sportsmanship, with enthusiastic participation from young athletes eager to demonstrate their prowess on skates. The event not only celebrated the sport of roller skating but also fostered a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie among the participants.
The Jammu and Kashmir Rollers Skating Association President G.S Khurmi extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and participants.
The championship was a testament to the growing enthusiasm for roller skating in Kathua and a crucial step in nurturing the next generation of skating champions.
The recent roller skating competition showcased the exceptional talent of young athletes across various age categories, with participants competing fiercely for top honors. In the 5-7 years age group, Abhiyan Sangral claimed the gold medal in the boys’ category, while Kamakshi Saini secured the gold in the girls’ category. Their impressive performances set a positive tone for the event. In the 7-9 years age group, the loose bearing category saw Avyan taking home the gold, with Divashish earning a silver medal and Aarav Sedra securing bronze in the boys’ division.
In the girls’ division, Divyanshi triumphed with a gold medal. Meanwhile, in the quad category for the same age group, Rabnoor won gold, followed by Priyanshu with silver and Davik with bronze for the boys. Amayra Gupta shone in the girls’ category, winning gold, while Rizal Jamwal and Rishita Dogra took silver and bronze, respectively.
As the competition progressed to the 9-11 years age group, Dhairya achieved gold in the boys’ quad category, with Udhav and Reeyansh taking silver and bronze. For the girls, Suhani won gold and Vanika followed with silver. In the inline category for this age group, Gunvansh excelled with a gold medal, Bhavanveer earned silver, and Jaskeertat took home bronze, while Divanshi won gold in the girls’ category.
In the 11-14 years age group, Munish topped the boys’ quad category, earning gold, with Daksh and Alex winning silver and bronze, respectively. Avyasu dominated the girls’ quad category, winning gold, while Yajeashwar and Raghav claimed silver and bronze. In the inline division, Samarth led the boys with a gold medal, followed by Tarun in silver and Maheshwar in bronze.
Finally, in the 14-17 years age group, Sushant achieved gold in the boys’ quad category, with Chirag and Ahemdeep taking silver and bronze. In the girls’ quad category, Parik won gold, Rigved secured silver, and Kaniya claimed bronze. Additionally, Ashmita and Tanish both showcased outstanding performances to win gold medals.
