JKPS Kunjwani pays rich homage to martyrs on Kargil Vijay Diwas

JAMMU: India is indubitably the land of brave warriors who fight to claim what belongs to their country. Indian army is brimful of hardihood and in the year 1999, the world witnessed it when India conquered Kargil War against Pakistan.
With heartfelt appreciation, a special assembly was organized to commemorate the sincere and unmatchable efforts of the Indian Army in the form of Kargil Vijay Diwas at JK Public School, Kunjwani.
The assembly comprised of an anecdote stating the significance of the crucial day, this small yet powerful speech by the students charged up the entire audience with a feeling of pride and nationalism.
The main highlights were group song by school choir. Echoes of energetic ‘Jai Hind!’ that filled the assembly area in the morning, could be felt throughout the day.
Later the commemorations were followed by an ‘Inter House Patriotic Song Competition’. Each performance acknowledged the efforts and gallantry of the Armed Forces. The young students were awestruck to go in the depths of the history associated with the commemoration. In the competition Radhakrishnan House stood first, Tilak House bagged second position and the third position was shared by Bhagat Singh House and Tagore House.
Dignitaries present on the occasion were Director JK Education Society, Shashi Chaudhary, Principal Rajesh Rathore, Vice Principal, Associate Vice Principal and school coordinators.
Director Shashi Chaudhary motivated the students to work hard and not let the hard sacrifices of the brave soldiers go in vain. She also motivated the students to fight with social evils to make our country best in the world.
Principal Rajesh Rathore encouraged students to nourish the sense of patriotism in them. He said that Kargil War warriors are the best examples of patriotism. He paid homage to the martyrs of this war and saluted them for an everlasting debt to our nation.
He narrated some incidents related to the life of his beloved student from UP Sainik School, Lucknow Capt Manoj Kumar Pandey PVC & his childhood dream to earn a Param Veer Chakra.
He shared the immortal statement made by the ‘Tiger of the Tiger Hills “If death strikes before I prove my blood, I swear, I will kill death”. The entire Assembly area reverberated with thunderous applause.
