JKPS Kunjwani pays reverent tribute to Martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji

JAMMU: JK Public School, Kunjwani, observed the Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur with profound reverence and spiritual grace during a specially organised morning assembly.

The solemn occasion honoured the life, teachings, and supreme sacrifice of the ninth Sikh Guru, who is remembered as Hind Di Chadar for his fearless defence of human dignity and religious freedom.
The assembly was held in the distinguished presence of Director Shashi Chaudhary, Principal Rajesh Rathore, Vice Principal Roopinder Kour, School Coordinator Inderjeet Kour, Academic Coordinator Parvinder Kour, Primary Wing Coordinator Anju Raj, Toddlers’ World Coordinator Shivangani Pandotra along with teachers and students, whose participation added depth and dignity to the programme.
The event commenced with a serene prayer followed by an insightful and well-structured narration on the life and martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, presented with clarity by Rupinder. Her narration offered students a meaningful understanding of the Guru’s unmatched courage, compassion, and his resolute stand for protecting the oppressed during an era of religious persecution.
The spiritual atmosphere deepened with a soulful Shabad rendition by Upinder, which set a devotional tone for the morning. This was followed by a heartfelt presentation of Shabad Maholla 9 by the students, whose melodious recitation reflected deep reverence for the Guru’s teachings. The school choir further enriched the ambience with a powerful Shabad Kirtan, filling the assembly ground with serenity and devotion.
Students also shared reflections on the Guru’s universal messages of humility, fearlessness, and righteousness, emphasizing their enduring relevance in today’s world. Their expressions served as a reminder that the values upheld by Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji continue to guide young minds toward compassion, unity, and moral integrity.
Vice Principal Roopinder Kour addressed the gathering with an inspiring message that resonated deeply with the students. She highlighted Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s unwavering commitment to truth and justice, urging students to embody these virtues in their everyday lives and interactions.
The assembly concluded with a solemn moment of silence as the entire school community paid homage to the Guru’s unparalleled sacrifice. The programme ended with a collective pledge to uphold the ideals of peace, justice, and humanity that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji dedicated his life to, leaving students enriched, inspired, and committed to carrying forward his timeless legacy.
