JAMMU: Students of Grade VII JK Public School Kunjwani presented an inspiring and thought provoking assembly on the topic “Never Give Up”.
Quoting the immortal words of Richell Goodric, Prisha Sangral said, “You may be the only person left who believes in you, but it’s enough. It takes just one star to pierce a universe of darkness. Never give up”. Anything is possible. As long as we are alive, healthy and free, we have the choice to keep trying until we finally succeed. But yes, we have to be realistic.
“The words ‘give’ and ‘up’ should never be together. Besides, the word ‘No’ shouldn’t even be in our vocabulary. Being part of the human kind we are one of the most enthusiastic and strongest beings to have ever walked on the earth. We probably never realize that there are a countless number of positives inside of us. And every now and then when we lose motivation, a quick reminder of what our potential is can really help us. To taste success, we are always faced with temporary defeat, just always keep in mind”, added another brilliant presenter from the class Amithi Suri.
Pitched in with a fresh dose of rationality, Udhay Salaria retorted, “We feel like giving up, at some point in our lives, while proceeding on an odyssey. Sometimes we give up even before we start. And at other times, most crucially, we tend to give up just before we are about to make a huge break-through. But we should realize that our hardest times often lead us to the greatest moments of our lives. ‘Keep going’ should be our mantra. Tough situations build strong people in the end. We should not fear failure but rather fear indolence (inactivity). If we give up at these defeats we fail, but if we keep going on, we become successful”.
Abheer Bajaj reflected on some of the reasons why we should never give up. He said, “We have everything we need. We are alive and for us nothing is impossible. We need to prove it to ourselves. Success feels great. It could change for the better. This is meant to happen, we were destined to do this. We learn a lot from not giving up. We deserve happiness and success. Failure is normal. It’s always the darkest hour before dawn. Never give up. Today is hard, tomorrow will be worse, but the day after tomorrow will be sunshine”.
Reflecting on the topic, Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore said, “Stay true to yourself, yet always be open to learn. Work hard, and never give up on your dreams, even when nobody else believes they can come true but you. These are not cliché-ridden statements but real tools you need, no matter what you do in life to stay focused on your path”.
“We should keep in mind ever that nobody in this entire world is perfect and no one would ever be. Everyone makes mistakes, and it isn’t the mistakes that make you better or worse than others; it is your behavior after those mistakes. If you correct those mistakes and achieve your goal, then you are the hero. Hence, never give up and keep chasing your goals relentlessly, like a guided missile” he summed up.
