JKPS Kunjwani hosts 17th Tanshikan Karate Do Championship

JAMMU: A two-day Tanshinkan Karate Do championship was organized at JK Public School, Kunjwani on December 28 and 29, 2023. Almost 290 karatekas from different districts of the UT are participating in the event.
The two-day event was inaugurated by Shaheen Wahid, SP Jammu (South). Other dignitaries who graced the occasion were Brijesh Bhau, Chief Technical Director J&K Tenshinkan Karate-Do-Association, Director JK Educational Society Shashi Choudhary, Gautam Daluja, Member of Management JKPS Kunjwani, Chhavi Daluja Choudhary, Sankalp Kamal, Director JK Public School, Kathua, who himself has been an ardent Karateka and Dinesh Chander.
Day two saw many tough bouts which were witnessed by, Principal JK Public School Rajesh Rathore, HOD Sports Subhash Chander and Gopal Das, Karate coach.
JK Public School won a haul of medals which includes 21 gold, 19 silver and 24 bronze medals.
All the dignitaries had all praises for the organizers for putting up such a spectacular show. The first day saw events in different categories being conducted. The students put up a stellar performance.
Shaheen Wahid congratulated all the prize winners for their stupendous achievements and was all praises for the management which provided the students with an infrastructure to excel in the field of games and sports.
Shaheen, in her speech, advised the students to participate in the event in the true spirit of the game. She advised them to remain fit and healthy. She complimented all the participating schools for inculcating the value of sports in their students.
