JKPS Kunjwani celebrates Hindi Diwas, Eid-e-Milad, showcasing spirit of cultural harmony

JAMMU: In an inspiring display of cultural harmony and linguistic pride, JK Public School Kunjwani hosted a special assembly on Friday to celebrate the occasion of Hindi Diwas and Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi.
The event was a vibrant blend of traditions, languages, and art forms, designed to foster unity and cultural awareness among students.
The dignitaries present were Director JK Educational Society Shashi Chaudhary; Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore; Vice Principal Roopinder Kour, School Coordinator Inderjeet Kaur; Academic Coordinator Parvinder Kaur & Coordinator Primary wing Anju Raj. Their unwavering commitment to holistic education ensures that JK Public School remains a beacon of academic and cultural excellence.
The programme commenced with an invocation, followed by the melodious rendition of the school song, which set a solemn yet uplifting tone for the assembly.
A student speaker eloquently introduced the dual themes of the day – the celebration of Hindi Diwas, honouring the adoption of Hindi as one of India’s official languages and Eid-e-Milad, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
Key highlights of the assembly included a soul-stirring Qawwali performance by the Middle and Primary wing students, capturing the spiritual essence of Islamic Sufi traditions.
A thought-provoking Role play was presented by the Primary wing, portraying the significance of Hindi Diwas and the role of language in shaping national identity.
A heartwarming Na’at Recitation by a student of class IX Sikander highlighted the spiritual importance of Eid-e-Milad.
The recital of Shlokas and Dohas by Middle wing students, offered a glimpse into the timeless wisdom embedded in Indian literature, particularly in the Hindi language. A dynamic Nukkad Natak by the senior wing students, delivered a powerful social message with humour and dramatic flair, evoking strong reactions from the audience.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal remarked, “Events like these not only celebrate our linguistic and cultural heritage but also serve as a reminder of our duty to preserve and promote the values of unity in diversity. Our students are the torchbearers of tomorrow, and it is through such initiatives that we prepare them to embrace their roots and the world beyond.”
The assembly concluded with a heartfelt rendition of the National Anthem, leaving a profound sense of national pride and unity among all.
