JAMMU: Students of JK Public School (JKPS) Kathua brought laurels to the school by winning ten medals including five gold, four silver and one bronze in National Sambo Championship recognized by International Olympic Committee and the Olympic Council of Asia at Indoor Complex Stadium, Bhagawati Nagar, here recently.
The JKPS Kathua team was led by National Coach Anil Krotra.
In this Championship teams from all states of the country participated where JKPS Champions emerged as most promising team of the J&K (UT). JKPS Management, Principal and staff congratulated the Sambo Champions.
Prabal Singh, Amandeep Singh, Deshant Singh, Prashant and Aarav won gold medals while Himani Dubey, Girja, Parik and Saksham bagged silver and Vijay Lakshmi won bronze medal.
