JKPPS conduct Inter-House Cricket Match

JAMMU: Nehru House lifted the Inter-House Cricket Competition trophy by defeating Gandhi house in the final played on Thursday.

The competition was organised by J and K Police Public School, Miran Sahib, in the school playground.

In the final played today, Nehru House defeated Gandhi House by 34 runs.

Earlier, Gandhi House won the toss and elected to bowl.

Batting first, with the brilliant batting performance of Amandeep,  who smashed 60-run in 42 balls, Nehru House set a target of 102 in 12 overs. For Gandhi House, Akash Menia and Navleen shared two wickets each.

In reply, Gandhi House falied to chase the target and whole side was bundled out for 68 runs. Robin Baloria was the top scorer with 22 runs in 18 balls.

For his match winning knock, Amandeep Singh was declared Man of the Match.

The match was officiated by Parmeet Singh, Gurpreet Singh and Brijesh Bhau.

Principal, Sanjeev Pradhan gave away the trophies to the winner and runners up teams.  He lauded the efforts of the winners and motivated the runner up team.
