JKPCC launches ‘Donate for Desh’

JAMMU: JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani on Saturday started the online crowd funding campaign “donate for Desh” launched by the Congress Party throughout the country for transparent funding for the party on 138th year of Congress foundation.
Launching the online campaign in J&K in a press briefing at PCC HQ here, as per AICC directive, JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani flanked by Working President Raman Bhalla , Senior Vice Presidents Ravinder Sharma – Chief Spokesperson and Th. Balwan Singh, Vice President I/C HQ Vinod Sharma, besides General Secretaries Pawan Raina, Suresh Dogra, Narinder Sharma & Media Coordinator Neeraj Gupta, appealed to the people especially party workers and sympathizers of Congress to vigorously go for on line donations, ranging from Rs. 138, Rs.1380, 13,800 & so on or in any other amount as part of “Donate for Desh” campaign for transparent funding to the party account. A certificate shall be issued on line to every donor, he added. Vikar said that party shall reach out to every booth to atleast ensure donation of Rs.138 or more to the party funds.
He said Congress party under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi had done crowd funding in 1920-21 and now since its foundation party completes 138 years on 28th Dec. 2023. He said a large number of people are already engaged in the donations, launched by AICC on 18th Dec. 2023.
Expressing grave concern over the rise of terrorism and martyrdom of our Jawans in different areas especially in Rajouri-Poonch, JKPCC said that Govt. should take more effective mode to bring the situation under control and ensure safety of innocents including the martyrdom of our jawans.
