JAMMU: Students of JK Public School, Kunjwani of Class VI and VII visited Environmental Park, Sidhra Road, Jammu.
This visit was organised as a part of British Council International School Award (ISA).
Students were briefed about the scientific names, benefits and the use of different herbs and plants in day to day life. Students collected leaves, barks, flowers and various other parts of the plants and pasted them on their files for memorisation.
The main aim of organising such a visit was to develop naturalistic skill, sense of preserving nature and get closer to it. Afterwards a quiz was also organised by the teachers to check their knowledge on the subject.
