JAMMU: JK Public School Kunjwani made a remarkable victory in the District Level Basketball Competitions held at Jammu University from August 30 to September 1, 2022.
In the U-14 category, Girls Team JKPS Kunjwani won the Trophy after a neck to neck fight with Heritage School. The winners are Eshal Nisar Khan (Captain), Avrid Shrikul, Sangam Rajput, Anayaaa, Sachleen Kour, Almass, Aliza, Zoha, Amaira Gupta, Amanpreet Kour and Shree Nanda.
In the U-17 category, Girls team JKPS Kunjwani bagged Runners Up Trophy. The team was comprised of Ashna Charak, Shagun Bhagat, Plaksha Gupta, Shagun Rajput, Tavleen Kour, Nupur Vhoudhary, Angel Sharma, Ananya Sharma, Iqra, Arshdeep Kour, Malvika Panjgotra, Arshia Javed and Tanvee.
In the Inter-Zone District level competition held from 25 to 26 Aug 2022, the boys team (U-14) bagged Runners Up Trophy. The team included Zakariya Rabbani, Vaibhav Choudhary, Achintya, Saksham Gupta, Jai Singh, Vigneshwar, Shub Kamran, Aariz Razaq Divya Pratap, Ketan Bhagat, Karamjyot Singh and Kamaljot Singh.
Director of the School, Shashi Chaudhary and the Principal Rajesh Rathore felicitated the winners in the School assembly.
They applauded the School Coach Manoj Kumar and HOD Sports, Subash Chander for training the students.
Principal said, “The hard work and diligence of the students & their coach worked wonders on the teams, as they fought till the very end. Kudos to our champions”.
