JKFFA remembers freedom fighters, asks separatists to shun violence

JAMMU: To remember all the Martyrs and freedom fighters who sacrificed everything for the sake of the freedom of the Motherland, J and K Freedom Fighters Association (JKFFA) held a programme titled ‘Shaheedo Ki Shahadat Aur Tirange Ko Salam’ at Dogra Shaurya Shaheedi Sthal, Amphalla, here on Tuesday.
The function was organised by Ved Gandotra, President of the Association wherein M.S Katoch, Working President JPPF was the Chief Guest.
Participants lighted candles in the memory of the Martyrs and freedom fighters and also observed two minutes silence in their honour.
The members remembered Neta Ji Subash Chander Bose, Chander Shekhar Azad, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru, Sukhdev, Ashfaq-ullah Khan, Maharani Laxmi Bhai, Tatya Tope, Mangal Pandey, Hav. Abdul Hamid, Maqbool Sherwani, Bahadur Shah Zaffar, S. Udham Singh, Nana Sahib, Comrade Dhanmantri and all the members of Indian Army, paramilitary forces and the J and K Police, who laid their lives while fighting with militants in the J and K State.
The members asked the youth of the Valley to shun violence and stop being provoked by the anti-national forces and join the schools and colleges for their bright future.
They also asked the government to take back the security cover provided to the separatists after arresting, send them to district jails in the country, away from the innocent public of the Valley.
Among others who were present in the programme include State President Shri Ram Sena, Rajiv Mahajan, President Sikh Progressive Front, S Rajinder Singh, General Secretary JKFFA Parbhat Kapahi, R.R Raina and Varun Sharma.
