JKFA to hold Santosh Trophy, Sub-Jr trials from Nov 27

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) is holding selection trials to pick up probables at the provincial level for upcoming 71st Santosh Trophy and Sub-Junior North Zone U-16 boys Championship.
The trials ((Ist phase) shall be held at GGM Science College Jammu and Synthetic Turf Stadium (11:00 AM) Srinagar simultaneously from 27th November, a handout issued by the JKFA here on Wednesday informed.
“The three-day trials for Jammu shall conclude on 29th November. It will be followed by the state level (2nd phase) of selection, to be held in Jammu, from December one,” informed Jammu-Kathua Zone President of JKFA, Surinder Singh Bunty.
Adding he said, “As per the guidelines of the Football Federation, at least five under-21 players should be there in the Santosh Trophy team.”
Only those born between 1st January, 2003 and 31st December, 12 2003 and registered with football academies or grassroots centre as also from DFAs are eligible for the selection trials in Sub-Junior category. Such boys have to produce their Date of Birth certificate issued by JMC and SMC (Original) at the time of registration.
“And soon after the state level selection, the coaching of those selected probable shall be held from December five in both the age groups,” said Surinder Singh.
