SRINAGAR: Abdul Rehman Dar has been elected President of the District Football Association (DFA) Kulgam in the Annual General Body meeting of the Association held at Kulgam, here.
Gulzar Ahmad Dar and Showkat Ahmad Pandith have been named General Secretary and Treasurer of the DFA Kulgam respectively. Besides the office bearers, Eight Executive members shall also be nominated to the DFA.
Earlier, the 15-member house met under the guidance of Senior Vice President of East Zone of the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA), B.A Shah and General Secretary of the Association, S.A Hameed. Also present were president DFA Srinagar, Fayaz Ahmad Sofi and senior member, Mushtaq Ahmad Kanth.
Meanwhile, it has been reliably learnt that the JKFA, through a circular, has directed all the 22 affiliated DFAs in the State to elect their district bodies afresh for a term of four years.
To begin with, the DFA Kulgam has become the first district body to elect the office bearers today.
