JKCA player Nasir Lone selected for BCCI’s National Camp

JAMMU: Nasir Lone U-25 Men’s Player of JKCA has been chosen by the National Selection Committee to join an all-rounders Camp being organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) at National Cricket Academy Bangalore.
“In a communication received from Mr VVS Laxman, Head NCA, the Association has been informed that Mr Nasir Lone has been selected to join the Camp for all-rounders to train under the tutelage of the NCA Coaches at Bangalore. The Camp will be held from August 28 to September 6, 2023,” stated Brig Anil Gupta, Member-Administration JKCA.
“Nasir Lone is a promising all-rounder- a right-arm medium pacer and a right-handed middle-order batter. During the last season, he performed fabulously while representing JKCA in U-25 Men’s State A One Day Tournament and Col CK Nayudu U-25 Multi Day Tournament and the same performance helped him to get the National Selectors nod for joining this Camp,” said Mithun Manhas, Member Cricket Operations and Development JKCA.
“The selection of Nasir Lone is another shot in the arm of JKCA who players have started knocking the doors of National Cricket. The all-rounders Camp is being organised by the BCCI to train the potential all-rounders for the National Team,” informed Brig Anil Gupta.
He further informed that Abid Mushtaq, another talented spinning all-rounder from J&K will be leaving Jammu on June 25 to join the North Zone Duleep Trophy team at Bangalore. North Zone will play its first match against North East Zone at Bangalore on June 28.
