JAMMU: J and K State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) being headless has become the source of harassment and victimisation. This was alleged by the employees association of JKBOSE Jammu Division while staging a demonstration against neglect of their demands and issues.
The protest led by president of the association, Rajesh Choudhary demanded immediate appointments of JKBOSE Chairman and Secretary.
Talking to reporters here, Rajesh Choudhary said that JKBOSE employees of Jammu Division are being discriminated due to absence of a dedicated head while the demands of their counterparts in Kashmir were met on priority. He also expressed his concern on the issue that visitors and students from far flung areas have to suffer due to impeding work culture in JKBOSE.
He demanded departmental promotions for various cadres, transparent transfer policy, restoration of risk allowance to the employees and regularisation of daily wagers/consolidated workers who have completed their seven years of satisfactory service.
He also demanded implementation of new recruitment and promotion rules for the employees of JKBOSE, purchase of Land/Buildings for the Sub/Branch offices, recovery of amount which is lying with the Education Department on account of supply of textbooks and appointment of permanent Junior Assistants.
