JKATA delegation calls on Manhas, discusses issues
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association (JKATA) on Tuesday met Member Parliament, Shamsher Singh Manhas and apprised him of the problems being faced by Agri Technocrats (VAEA) of Agri Production Department.
The delegation was led by Dr Vishal Manhas Chairman of JKATA Jammu Province.
The delegation explained that State Government engaged Agri Technocrats as Rehbar-e-Zirat (ReZ) in 2007 and regularised them in three phases in 2014, 2015 and 2016 and put them in NPS scheme. The technocrats rendered uninterrupted service as ReZ but their service is not counted and denied the benefit including promotion and qualifying pension service. Also State Government degraded the post of JAEO to VAEA which is lower in pay scale.
The grade and designation of VAEA is equivalent to Senior Field Assistant of Agri Department which is clear cut injustice with qualified lot, Manhas said.
Manhas assured the delegation that he will put their demands before the authorities concerned for an early and fruitful solution.
The delegate comprised of Mannu Mehta, K.D Singh, Ajay Pal Chowdhary, Amit Gupta and Arvind Bali.
