JAMMU: J and K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) on Friday organised a semi-classical dance performance by Manju Wazir and her Group in the Abhinav Theatre, Jammu.
Dr. Aziz Hajini, Secretary and Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary of the Academy were present in the presidium.
Guru Manju Wazir is a daughter of the soil and has presently settled in Noida where she is running her own institute of Kathak dance besides serving as teacher in a reputed school.
Today she made the audience spellbound by the performances given by her and her students namely Varinder Kacker, Aniksha Tiwari, Sanskriti Soam, Samishka Purohit, Aarushi Gupta and Sabsaree Arvind.
Dr. Aziz Hajini highlighted the aims and objective of the academy and further expressed his satisfaction that JKAACL is marching towards achieving its goal with the active co-operation and support of the art lovers and fraternities of art, culture and languages in particular. Dr. Amn presented vote of thanks.
Dr Kamal Banka, Dr Baljit Raina, N.D Jamwal, Raj Kumar Behrupia, Priya Dutta, Ravinder Kaul, Ravi Sharma, Randhir Kumar, Jackson and Sunil Raina were also present.
