JAMMU: Two days J&K UT Open Taekwondo Championship 2024 organized by Taekwondo Association of J&K concluded at Baby Caters Hall, Rehari, Jammu.
The Championship was organised under the supervision of Quimti Lal Jain – General Secretary Taekwondo Association of J&K. More than 120 players from different districts of J&K including Jammu, Udhampur, Samba, Kishtwar, Doda, Srinagar, Baramulla & Budgam were participated in the championship with great zeal and enthusiasm.
On the closing Ceremony, Ram Krishan Sharma – President, Taekwondo Association of J&K was the chief guest. In his speech, he thanks and congratulated all members of Taekwondo Association of J&K for cooperating in organizing Open UT Level Championship and providing a platform to the youth to channelize their energy towards sports. Ravinder Sharma was the guest of honour and he also appreciated the work being done by the Association in the field of sports and the outstanding performance of the players. He also expressed his immense pleasure to the players who participated in the tournament from different parts of the Union Territory beside the difficult weather conditions.
Tarsem Sharma, Former General Secretary Ju-Jitsu Association of J&K as well as member J&K Olympic Association was the special guest. He congratulated the players as well as the association for organising successful event. Officials of this championship were Pawan Jamwal, Deepak Dogra, Mansha Bashir, Danish Sharma, Suresh Kumar, Rohini Chib, Rajat Bhagat, Geetansh Thakur, Bhavin Thakur, Harsh Vardhan Raina, Rudrakshit Gupta, Udhay Singh, Imran Khan, Sachin Thakur, Namika Mahajan, Manish Gill, Saksham Kumar and Ayush Mahajan.
At last Players were felicitated with medals and awards for their achievement.
