J&K UT Junior Basketball Championship concludes

JAMMU: J&K UT Junior Basketball Championship was organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Basketball Association at Mini Stadium Parade Ground from January 15 to 16, 2024.
Various teams, both men and women, participated in the championship with players from different districts of J&K.
A total of 15 teams participated in the championship with 10 Men’s teams and 5 Women’s teams.
Among the women, the championship was won by STC Warriors, Jammu District was placed first runner up and DPS Jammu was declared as the third runner up.
In the men’s section, Jammu District emerged as the Champion with KIC Udhampur bagging the first runners up place and APS Miransahib winning the second runners up.
Baljinderpal Singh, Divisonal Sports Officer was the Chief Guest for the day. He congratulated all the players and said it was a pleasure to see the young basketball players work so hard and produce such scintillating final matches today. He congratulated the office bearers of J&K basketball Association, the participating teams and all the people involved in making this championship a grand success.
Surajbhan Singh, Manager Indoor Sports Complex and Judo Coach J and K was the Guest of Honor for the day.
Dr Vikram Handa, Secretary JKBA, Ashok Singh Jamwal, Treasurer JKBA wished the teams all the best telephonically and congratulated the coaches Sushma Jamwal, Chief Coach JK Sports Council, Ranbir Singh Coach from Youth Services and Sports, Sachin Dogra Coach MA Stadium, Shubham Sharma Mentor Khelo India for putting up such a wonderful show. The officials for the championship included Manoj Kumar Solanki, Rajesh Bandral and Vaneet Pangotra, Amit Kalsi and Vinod Dogra.
