J&K situation needs to be resolved with peace: Bhim
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: The State of Jammu and Kashmir is passing through a serious crisis and there arises an emergency situation which needs to be resolved with peace, constitutional measures and not by bullets or violence from any side. This was stated by Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) Patron Bhim Singh in a press conference here on Wednesday.
“The Panthers Party has been working for the implementation of all fundamental rights including the right of speech and expression as provided in Chapter III of the Constitution of India relating to the fundamental rights for Indian citizens which include Jammu and Kashmir,” Bhim said.
He regretted that Chapter III on fundamental rights has not been incorporated in Jammu and Kashmir as J and K Constitution has not included fundamental rights of the Indian citizens, living in Jammu and Kashmir since 1950.
“People of Jammu and Kashmir have been deprived of the fundamental rights as the Parliament of India blundered by not implementing the Instrument of Accession which was signed by the ruler of the State on 26th October 1947,” Bhim said adding that the grave blunder committed by Parliament is inserting Article 370, though temporary, by keeping Jammu and Kashmir out of the list of the Union of India.
The people of Jammu and Kashmir, he said, through their elected Assembly have expressed total faith in the Union and Jammu and Kashmir for integral part of the Union of India.
Article 370, Bhim added, needs to be amended without delay so that Parliament can have power to extend all its loss in the central list to Jammu and Kashmir.
Established in 1982 to ensure delivery of Justice to all, the Panthers Party has been facing wrath of the successive government in J AND K yet it continue supporting the people of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly, the suffering youth in the State, he disclosed.
He demanded for imposition of Governor Rule in the State without any delay which is essential, necessary and in the interest of suffering people.
Anita Thakur General Secretary, Bansi Lal Sharma Advocate Political Advisor NPP, Jagdev Singh Coordination Secretary, Paramjit Singh Marshal President PTU, Rakesh Gupta, Secretary, Neeraj Gupta Zonal President and Rajesh Gondhi were also present in the press
conference.
