JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir players, who won 27 medals the Sub Junior National/Junior National Sambo Championship held at Hissar, Haryana on 28th to 31st December, 2015, were honoured today in a function held here. J and K girls also won overall trophy in under 14 and 16 category.
The programme was organised by J and K Sambo Association, Jammu wherein Shamsher Singh Manhas, Member of Parliament (MP) was the Chief Guest and Zorawar Singh, General Secretary, Press Club, Jammu was Guest of Honour.
Besides Sanjeev Singh, President, J and K Sambo Association, General Secretary Rohit Sadhotra, and other dignitaries present in this function were Rajiv Kumar, Varinder Sharma, Suraj Bhan, Vikas Gupta, Joint Secretary, Judo Federation of India and Bhanu Jasrotia.
The medal winners were Sehar, Tanvi, sajan, kundan, gulshan sparsh and aditya parihar (gold); Aradhya, Payal, Akriti, Shrishti, Sawarn
Singh, Awdesh Singh, Vasu Vaid, Rishav, Kanishka, Maniya Sharma and Rupali (silver); and Piyush Vaid, Gagan, Akshay Sharma, Mritunjay Kotwal, Mohit Jamwal, Abhi Jai Partap, Gurleen, Kumakshi, Ridhima, Jamwal Utkarshi Kesar (bronze).
