J&K reports 419 new COVID cases, 7 fatalities

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday reported 419 new positive cases of novel Corona virus, 208 from Jammu division and 211 from Kashmir division, taking the total to 115626 in the Union Territory.
According to an official spokesperson, seven COVID-19 deaths have also been reported, four from the Jammu Division and three from the Kashmir Province.
Moreover, 430 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 226 from Jammu Division and 204 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin, out of 1,15,626 positive cases, 4,831 are Active Positive, 1,09,002 have recovered and 1,793 have died; 645 in Jammu division and 1,148 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 33,19,656 test results available, 32,04,030 samples have been tested as negative till December 12, 2020.
Till date 8,26,972 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 23,197persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 4,831 in isolation and 27,154 in home surveillance. Besides, 7,69,997 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 24,161 positive cases (including 89 cases reported today) with 1,127 Active Positive, 22,601 recovered (including 97 cases recovered today), 433 deaths; Baramulla has 7,717 positive cases (including 24 cases reported today) with 208 Active Positive, 7,341 recovered (including 05 cases recovered today), 168 deaths; Budgam reported 7,290 positive cases (including 35 cases reported today) with 304 active positive cases, 6,881 recovered (including 30cases recovered today), 105 deaths; Pulwama has 5,276 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 175 Active Positive, 5,014 recoveries (including 23 cases recovered today), 87 deaths; Kupwara has 5,361 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 185Active Positive, 5,088 recovered (including 21 cases recovered today) and 88 deaths; Anantnag district has 4,657 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 124 Active Positive, 4,451 recovered (including 06 cases recovered today), 82 deaths; Bandipora has 4,533 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today) with 110 Active Positive and 4,367 recoveries(including 03 cases recovered today), 56 deaths; Ganderbal has 4,343 positive cases (including 16 cases reported today) with 165 Active Positive, 4,138 recoveries (including 14 cases recovered today), 40deaths; Kulgam has 2,624 positive cases with 66 Active Positive, 2,506 recoveries and 52 deaths while as Shopian has 2,414 positive cases (including09 cases reported today) with 91 active positive cases, 2,286 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today)and 37 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 22,072 positive cases (including 118 cases reported today) with 791 active positive cases, 20,954 recoveries (including 120 cases recovered today), 327 deaths; Rajouri has 3,688 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 236 active positive cases, 3,399 recovered (including 12 cases recovered today), 53 deaths; Udhampur has 3,935 positive cases (including 26 cases reported today) with 380 active positive, 3,502 recoveries (including 39 cases recovered today) and 53 deaths; Doda has 3,283 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today) with 162 Active positive, 3,063 recovered (including 20 cases recovered today), 58 deaths; Kathua has 2,995 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 120 active positive cases, 2,830 recovered (including 18 cases recovered today) and 45 deaths; Poonch has 2,419 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 36 Active Positive, 2,361 recoveries (including 01 case recovered today)and 22 deaths; Samba has 2,618 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 208 active positive cases, 2,376 recoveries and 34 deaths; Kishtwar has 2,656 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 155 active positive, 2,480 recoveries (including 11 cases recovered today) and 21 deaths; Ramban has 2,028 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 89 active positive, 1,918 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today)and 21 deaths while Reasi has 1,556 positive cases (including 01 case reported today) with 99 active positive cases, 1,446 recoveries and 11 deaths.
