J&K reports 344 fresh Covid cases

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday reported 315 fresh Covid cases-49 from the Jammu Division and 295 from the Valley, thus taking the total number of positive cases to 475768 in the Union Territory.
According to the daily Media Bulletin, out of 475768 positive cases, 2910 are Active Positive, 468079 have recovered and 4779 have died; 2347 in the Jammu Division and 2432 in the Valley.
Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases during the past 24 hours, the Bulletin reported that in Kashmir division, Srinagar reported 78 cases, Baramulla 69, Kupwara 34, Budgam 33, Pulwama 29, Anantnag reported 24 cases, Bandipora 17, Ganderbal and Kulgam reported five cases each case while as Shopian district reported one fresh case.
Similarly in Jammu division, Ramban district reported 20 cases, Jammu 19, Kishtwar 4, Udhampur and Poonch districts three cases each while Rajouri, Doda, Kathua, Samba 00 and Reasi districts reported no fresh case during the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Ladakh’s Covid caseload climbed to 29,134 as 12 more people tested positive for the viral disease during the past 24 hours, officials said.
The death toll remained unchanged at 229, they said.
