JK Public School takes a stand against drug abuse: Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Awareness Program

JAMMU: JK Public School, Kunjwani Jammu, took a significant step towards combating drug abuse by organizing an awareness program under the banner of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The event aimed to educate students and teachers about the perils of drug abuse and foster a collective effort to eradicate this menace from society.
The distinguished lineup of guests included Laeeq Ahmed Dar, Joint Director Prosecution Crime Branch, J&K, as the Chief Guest, along with SSP Crime HQs, Amarjeet Singh, and Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) SSP, Raj Kumar. Additionally, DySP ANTF Crime Branch J&K, Tanveer Ahmed Jeelani, graced the occasion with their expertise and insights, enriching the awareness program.
The event commenced with the symbolic lighting of the lamp, signifying the illumination of awareness in the fight against drug abuse.
Laeeq Ahmed Dar, in his address, shed light on the grave consequences of drug abuse and stressed the importance of awareness among students and teachers.
A poignant documentary was presented, vividly portraying the detrimental effects of drug abuse, serving as a stark reminder of the necessity for collective action.
SSP Crime HQs, Amarjeet Singh, conducted an interactive session, educating students on awareness and providing guidance on how to deal with such challenges.
Raj Kumar, SSP ANTF, Crime Branch J&K, highlighted the ongoing efforts to combat the drug epidemic in the region and educated children on recognizing and addressing it.
Wrapping up the event, Tanveer Ahmed Jeelani, DSP ANTF, Crime Branch J&K, provided valuable insights on precautions, repercussions, and methods to overcome drug abuse. He extended heartfelt gratitude in the vote of thanks, concluding the event with renewed determination to build a drug-free society.
Chairman of JK Educational Society, Raj Daluja, applauded the efforts of the organizing team, and presented mementos to the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and the organizer, while Director Shashi Chaudhary encouraged students to stay vigilant against drug abuse.
