JK Public School Panjtirthi celebrates World Tourism Day with fanfare

JAMMU: Tourism plays a significant role in improving a nation’s economy and enhancing its image. The World Tourism Day was celebrated at JK Public School Panjtirthi with much exuberance. Jakiians participated with zeal & joy besides speaking vigorously about the best places of India enunciating on different States and their significance regarding famous places of visit, culture, clothing, cuisine, Language, amusement parks, museums and other cultural venues that attract tourists.
Dressed up in exuberant attires representing different States, Jakiians splendidly connected with the audience to exhibit vast culture and heritage of India. The importance of maintaining the monuments and keeping the surroundings clean was well illustrated through an edifying skit by Jakiians, which sensitized audience to honour and preserve their mother earth. Highlighting theme of World Tourism Day ‘Rethinking Tourism’, Jakiians added that the theme highlights the need to revamp how the world thinks about tourism. Speaking on the occasion, Principal of JK Public School, Panjtirthi Suman Banbah expressed, “The desire to explore new places and cultures has helped the world to come together and connect effectively. The purpose of celebrating this day is to make Jakiians aware of tourist places around the world. Travelling is all about exploring, learning and embracing, that adds more meaning to life.”
