JK Public School Panjtirthi celebrates Labour Day

JAMMU: JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi celebrated Labour Day with full aplomb.
Jakiians commenced the celebration through an oration stating, “Workers have significantly contributed to nation-building through immense hard work. Labour Day not only aims to recognise workers’ hard work but also to educate them about their rights and save them from being exploited.”
Jakians performed a heart wrenching skit on “child labour”.
Sindu Kohli lauded the slogans “without labour nothing prospers” , “work is no disgrace, the disgrace is idleness” and “labour – one of the greatest elements of society”.
The principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah remarked, “Labour Day is a significant event that recognises and celebrates the basic contributions of labourers towards society. It is a day set aside for social and economic fairness for labourers, and it is the outcome of a protracted struggle for better working conditions and workers’ rights.”
She added, “Today’s celebration is aimed at sensitizing the students about dignity of labour.”
The fourth class employees were rewarded by the Principal for their hardwork, efforts and contribution.
She added, “I Salute to all the workers who work tirelessly every day to bring peace and stability to their families and societies.”
