JK Public School Panjtirthi celebrates birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh

JAMMU: JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi proudly celebrated the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh, the last ruling Maharaja of the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir, with great enthusiasm and reverence .

The event was organized to honor the legacy of the visionary ruler and to instill a sense of pride and patriotism among students.
The celebration began with the garlanding of Maharaja Hari Singh’s portrait, followed by a brief introduction highlighting his contributions to the socio-political and educational development of Jammu and Kashmir.
A skit was presented by the students showcasing the stellar role of Maharaja Hari Singh during the period of his rule.
The students sang a Dogri duet and presented beautiful dances in Dogri attires. Various insightful speeches and poems in Dogri were also presented by Jakiians. The best performers were rewarded by the Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah.
The Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi addressed the Jakiians and expressed, “Maharaja Hari Singh was a reformist ruler who believed in ‘Justice is my religion.”
She added, “Today’s celebration has reinforced the importance of honoring our heritage and remembering the contributions of national leaders like Maharaja Hari Singh.”
