JK Public School Kunjwani shines in National Grappling Championship 2023

JAMMU: In the 16th National Grappling Championship 2023 held from June 1 to 4, 2023, at Devas (Madhya Pradesh), Harshdeep Singh of JK Public School Kunjwani won two gold medals and Rajveer Singh won a silver medal.

JK Public School Kunjwani faculty felicitating winner students on Wednesday.

The championship was organized by the Grappling Federation of India, a National Governing Body for Grappling Sports in India.
Director JK Educational Society Shashi Choudhary applauded the winners and felicitated them during the assembly of the school.
On this occasion, she appreciated the humongous efforts of the School Coach Rajesh Verma for preparing students for such a National level platform.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore said, “Grappling is a fighting technique and a full-contact combat sport, based on throws, trips, sweeps, clinch fighting, ground fighting and submission holds. It is a proud movement for us that Harshdeep and Rajveer of our school have represented the UT of Jammu and Kashmir in such a prestigious event and have added a golden feather to the JKPS family through their brilliant performance in the Grappling Championship 2023. The students of our school are bringing laurels not only in the Board results but in the sports front also”.
He wished all the sportspersons of the school a very bright future ahead.
