STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: An inter-house ‘Patriotic Song Competition’ was organized on Friday to expose children to music, while also enhancing their social and presentation skills.
The School campus was filled with children brimming with enthusiasm and eagerness to showcase their talent. The students from classes VI-VIII participated in patriotic song competition, therefore, demonstrating love for their country.
The students prepared well for the competition and a wide range of songs were presented. While the choice of songs ranged from the patriotic to the popular, it was interesting that each child had worked hard to comprehend the lyrics and sang the songs with conviction. Their songs invoked a strong sense of patriotism in each one who listened. The room was resplendent with a feeling of belonging and pride. We discovered potential talent in singing from amongst our students and are very optimistic that these students are strong pillars of our school.
Shashi Chaudhary, Director JKPS and Rajesh Rathore, Principal JKPS, were the judges of the event and appreciated the efforts of the participants on their choice of songs, the rendition and the creative skills.
Inderjeet Kour, School Coordinator, also praised the efforts of students. A total of 100 participants participated in the competition. The Tagore House bagged the first position and the children were judged on various parameters like song choice, music interpretation and so forth.
The success of the show could be well judged by the smile on the faces of the students and the teachers.
