JK Public School Kunjwani organises International Day of the Girl Child

JAMMU: A special assembly was conducted by the students of Primary Wing of JK Public School Kunjwani on the occasion of International Day of the Girl Child in order to raise awareness about the unique challenges and opportunities that girls face, promoting gender equality and empowering girls to reach their full potential.
The assembly began with a prayer followed by the school song and sharing of thought of the day. Students presented a Nukkad Natak highlighting the view to promote awareness about the rights of the girl child to bridge the gender divide and to lay emphasis on the importance of girl’s education, health and nutrition.
The morning assembly ended with a beautiful dance performance on the songs ‘O Re Chiriya’ and ‘Deewarein Unchi Hein’ followed by inspirational words by School Principal, Rajesh Rathore.
He lauded the joint efforts of students and teachers for presenting such a wonderful assembly. He invoked parents and teachers to extend their best possible support, as well groomed girls bring laurels to their parents, home and Alma Mater. He appreciated teachers for writing such a powerful script & making them enact brilliantly.
“Having a girl child is God’s greatest gift to parents today. A daughter is always so loving, caring and affectionate, come what may. We must equip & empower them with all the requisite skill sets, so as to make them emerge champions”, he summed up.
