JK Public School Kunjwani enshrines spirit of Krishna Janmashtami through devotional grandeur

JAMMU: The hallowed precincts of JK Public School, Kunjwani, were suffused with an ineffable aura of piety as the institution celebrated the sacred festival of Janmashtami with devotional splendour, venerating the divine advent of Lord Krishna – the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu and the eternal embodiment of dharma.
The day’s proceedings unfolded during a special morning assembly, where faculty and students converged in an atmosphere pulsating with reverence and spiritual ardour. The air resonated with melodious Kirtans and soulful invocations, permeating the assembly with profound devotional energy. Gracing the occasion were Shashi Choudhary, Director, JK Educational Society; Rajesh Rathore, Principal JKPS Kujwani; Roopinder Kour, Vice Principal; Academic Coordinator Parvinder Kour; and Primary Wing Coordinator Anju.
The ceremony commenced with an invocatory hymn, seeking the divine blessings of the Supreme. A thought-provoking talk by Omkareshwar captured the philosophical essence of Janmashtami – an eternal paean to righteousness and transcendental love. Students eloquently expounded upon Lord Krishna’s timeless counsel to Arjuna from the Bhagavad Gita, followed by captivating dance performances that enthralled the audience and brought the festive spirit to life.
In his valedictory address, Principal Rajesh Rathore extolled the aesthetic finesse and devotional sincerity displayed by the students. He urged them to imbibe Lord Krishna’s cardinal virtues – humility, moral rectitude, and compassionate service – into their daily lives, thereby nurturing character alongside knowledge.
He further inspired the students to groom themselves holistically to meet the challenges of the future with courage, wisdom, and resilience. Drawing from Lord Krishna’s life, he urged them to be a “Krishna” for their generation – wise strategists, compassionate leaders, and unwavering defenders of righteousness – ready to confront and overcome the hardships and trials faced by the nation.
The ceremony concluded with the soulful rendition of the National Anthem, leaving the gathering with a deep sense of spiritual fulfillment and collective joy. The Janmashtami celebration thus transcended the bounds of mere festivity, emerging as a luminous reaffirmation of the eternal victory of virtue over vice.
