JK Public School Kunjwani celebrates Republic Day

JAMMU: On the eve of 68th Republic Day, students of JK Public School, Kunjwani presented a programme with full patriotic fervour and zeal. The programme commenced with the flag hoisting by Brig. Sukhdev Singh, Director JK Educational Society. The students displayed their love for the country by performing dances and the school choir sang patriotic songs filling the environment with a feeling of oneness among all.
The students of primary wing also marked the day by conducting special assembly in their wing a day before in which importance of this day and Indian Constitution was highlighted. They also participated in the Republic Day celebrations and gave a beautiful performance on ‘Sare Jahan Se Acha’.
The students of Toddlers’ World also showcased a colourful programme in which they performed a beautiful dance number and some of them were dressed up in the attires of freedom fighters. They also raised the slogans of these freedom fighters paying tributes to them.
The programme concluded with the inspiring words from the Director Brig Sukhdev Singh. He exhorted the students to make their country a great one and focused on imbibing the feeling of patriotism, respect for freedom fighters and the great leaders of the country. He said that the country is great only if the people are great. He also said that discipline is the foundation stone of every learning and we can’t learn if we do not conduct ourselves well.
While highlighting the importance of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, he said we should not only talk about this Abhiyan but practice it to make our school, society and nation clean. The programme came to an end with spirited singing of the National Anthem.
