JK Public School Kunjwani celebrates Annual Sports Day with splendour & gaiety

JAMMU: The day one of Annual Sports Day of JK Public School Kunjwani held on Saturday amidst great mirth, verve and camaraderie. The Chief Guest gracing the event was Nuzhat Gul, Secretary, J&K Sports Council.
Chairman JK Educational Society Raj Daluja, Patron Davinder Daluja, Neelam Daluja, Director Shashi Choudhary, members of management Siddharth Daluja and Gautam Daluja, Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore, Principal JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Bambah, members of the alumni group who have carved a niche in the society and a large gathering of parents were all present on the great event.
The Principal Rajesh Rathore extended a formal welcome to the Chief Guest and dignitaries, and shared a brief report of the School, and achievements of the students.
This was entailed by the hoisting of School Flag and declaration of the Meet Open by the Chief Guest Nuzhat Gul, followed by the lighting of the flame by the School’s Sports Captain and releasing of balloons to mark the expression of joy and merriment.
The Chief Guest was accompanied by the Chairman and the Patron for the inspection of School and House contingents followed by a spectacular and well-synchronized march past by the four house contingents of the Senior and Primary Wing students rendering the parent spectators, speechless and awestruck.
The Chief Guest administered the oath taking ceremony, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial Torch and declaration of the meet open. The school orchestra left everyone spellbound. This was followed by the first round of athletics by the Toddlers’ World, a unit of JK Public School.
The most embellishing aspect of the event was the field display based on the theme “National Symbols”. It involved mass student participation which splattered on the field, a riot of hues and vibrancy. The Mass drill left everyone spellbound.
In the subsequent Prize Distribution, the winners were given trophies and certificates for Academic Excellence, medals for participation in the National and International sports and co-curricular events, 100% attendance, the meritorious students passed out of class 12th were felicitated, and awardees of different track and field events from the Toddler’s World.
The Save Trees display was followed by second round of athletics. The Martial Arts demonstration by the students won accolades of one and all. The Finale dance on the foot tapping beats filled the air with exuberance.
The Best Athlete Boy of the Pre-Primary Wing was Lakshya Singh and the Best Athlete girl was Gouri Salaria.
The zealous parents, gathered in large numbers, constantly applauded the participants of the field track displays. This was followed by felicitation of the Chief Guest Nuzhat Gul.
The Chief Guest, in her speech, congratulated the students for their stupendous achievements and accolades for the school. She praised the proud management, especially Chairman Raj Daluja, who left no stone unturned to promote sports and sports culture in the State.
The alumni members of the school, present on this occasion, were all praises for the fantastic show put up. They were thankful to the school management for giving them a chance to come back to their alma-mater and the memento given to each one of them. Parents were smitten by the show put up by the young JKiians. The programme was coordinated by Cherry Gupta, Shaveta Khajuria, Sushma Sharma along with their team which kept everyone entertained throughout.
The Meet saw its culmination with the singing of the National Anthem.
