JAMMU: The JK Public School and Heritage School bagged girls’ under-17 and under-14 basketball titles respectively beating each other in the finals of the inter-school competitions of Jammu District, organised by the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at MA Stadium, here on Tuesday.
In the under-17 final, JK Public School girls outplayed their counterparts Heritage School 19-03 thereby making it a one-sided affair. However, the Heritage School compensated their loss by defeating the same opponent in a low scoring under-14 final played at the same venue.
Both these teams were encouraged by the District Officer, Sukhdev Raj Sharma, who witnessed the finals and interacted with young players.
The finals were officiated by the technical panel comprising Rajesh Bandral, Vaneet, Vishal Bharti, Amit Kalsi and Mousmi.
