JKPS Kunjwani celebrates Christmas with reverence, creativity and intellectual enrichment

JAMMU: JK Public School Kunjwani celebrated the auspicious festival of Christmas with great solemnity, joy and cultural richness at the school Assembly Ground. The thoughtfully planned celebration reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing moral values, creativity and holistic development among students, while honouring the timeless message of love, peace and compassion embodied by Christmas. The programme commenced with melodious Christmas carols, “Silent Night” and “Joy to the World”, which created an atmosphere of serenity and spiritual reflection. This was followed by an enlightening presentation on the teachings of Lord Jesus Christ, emphasizing universal values such as kindness, humility, forgiveness and selfless service.
The celebrations were further enriched by a graceful dance performance themed on Christmas cheer, a powerful mime presented by students of the Primary Wing, and a delightful dance by the Toddler’s Wing, each performance receiving warm appreciation from the audience. A special and heartwarming segment of the celebration was the blessing of students celebrating their birthdays during the month of December, instilling a sense of belonging and joy among the young learners.
The occasion also marked a significant academic and literary milestone for the school with the formal inauguration of two books authored by young student writers. The books were ceremoniously released by the Director JK Educational Society Shashi Chaudhary and Principal JKPS Kunjwani Rajesh Rathore, who lauded the creativity, imagination and literary potential of the budding authors, and encouraged students to cultivate a lifelong love for reading and writing.
Adding intellectual depth to the celebration, Anju Raj, Primary Wing Coordinator, delivered an insightful and inspiring lecture, beautifully weaving the essence of Christmas with the importance of empathy, sharing and moral responsibility in everyday life. Her address left a lasting impression on students and reinforced the school’s focus on value-based education. The programme concluded on a note of national pride with the rendition of the National Anthem, followed by a group photograph, capturing the spirit of unity, celebration and togetherness. Christmas celebration at JK Public School was a harmonious blend of festivity, spirituality and intellectual enrichment, reaffirming the institution’s vision of shaping compassionate, creative and socially responsible citizens.
