JK, PoK officials discuss cross-LoC trade

POONCH: The officials of the Jammu and Kashmir Government and from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) on Thursday held a meeting to discuss various issues related to cross- LoC trade.
The officials along with traders from both the sides met at Chakan-Da-Bagh LoC point in Poonch District and discussed issues related to cross-LoC trade, district officials said.
Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, M.H Malik, Deputy Commissioner, Poonch (PoK), Masood-Ur-Rehman, Director General, Trade and Travel Authority(PoK), Brigadier(Retd.) Imtiaz Wani, Senior Superintendent of Police, Poonch(J and K), J.S Johar, Senior Superintendent of Police, Poonch (PoK), Sardar Ilyas, TFO, Trade Fecilitation Centre, Chakkan-Da-Bagh(J and K), Ashraf Chowdhary, TFO, Trade Fecilitation Centre, Chakan-Da-Bagh(PoK), Naeem Khan besides traders from both J and K and PoK sides and other officers related with the cross-LoC trade were present in the meeting. The officials discussed the issue of settlement of accounts of traders from the two sides as they had been complaining of pendency of trade money with their counterpart businessmen.
They also discussed issues relating to setting up of banking facilities for cross-LoC traders and inclusion of some more items in the list of trade goods.
