J&K people will give befitting reply to politics of deceit, deception: Chugh

JAMMU: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chug on Saturday said those having played politics of poll boycott earlier will have to face the people of Jammu and Kashmir and be prepared for imminent defeat due to their deception and double standards.
The opposition has already experienced defeat with the people ignoring their boycott calls and participating in the elections to Panchayats, BDCs and DDCs, he said.
In a statement, Tarun Chugh said that the opposition had miserably failed in their earlier effort to obstruct and stall elections to Panchayats, BDC and DDC now they are again joining their heads to enact new drama to disturb the electoral process. He said that the dynastic rulers, who had been befooling the people and making governments with 1000 or 500 votes for the past several decades, should not forget that lakhs of voters came forward in the Panchayat, BDC and DDC elections in spite of the obstructive politics of the Gupkar Group of opposition parties. They should know that their negative politics will fully be rejected by the people, he said. Tarun Chugh said that the decision to announce elections to the Legislative Assembly rests with the Election Commissioner. Whenever announced, the elections will be successfully conducted under Modi Government, he maintained.
