J&K makes mark at 15th Print Pack India Expo led by Secretary

GREATER NOIDA: Jammu & Kashmir made its presence felt during the ongoing National 15th Print & Pack Expo with a delegation of the Union Territory led by Administrative Secretary Amit Sharma and his team comprising of General Managers Purshotam Sharma and Mohd Aijaz Akhoon from Ranbir Government Press Jammu and Government Press Srinagar respectively.
Other delegates in the team included Romesh Sharma, Manager Government Press Srinagar, Sajad Hafiz, Assistant Manager, Government Press Srinagar, Dheeraj Razdan, Assistant Manager, Ranbir Government Press Jammu, Mushtaq Ahmed Lone, Foreman Printing, Government Press Srinagar, Anil Kumar, Latheman (Head Mechanic) Ranbir Government Press Jammu and Gagan Dev Singh, Out-Turn Check, Ranbir Government Press Jammu.
Administrative Secretary Amit Sharma led from the front and directed these teams from Jammu and Srinagar Government Presses respectively to get first hand exposure and gain experience to introduce the latest innovations in the Printing Presses operational in both the divisions.
He further elaborated that the time has come modernise operations of both the Presses and overhaul their functioning.
Amit alongwith both GMs held constructive meetings with the MDs and CEOs of lot of Printing technology players such as Heidelberg, RISO, Colourjet, HP, Canon, etc on the sidelines of the visit and most of these leading groups agreed to contribute towards the modernisation plan for Printing Presses in J&K which is the need of the hour.
Amit Sharma also told both Government Printing Press visiting teams from J&K to get actively involved in Flex Printing, OMR Sheets Printing, creating Secrecy Sections for taking confidential printing jobs and also learn techniques for bringing economies of scale and efficiency in existing operations by learning new technologies in this ongoing National mega-event. Secretary Sharma asserted that both Government Printing Presses in J&K shall have standardised international printing facilities and ISO Certification soon and expected that all Government Departments, Corporations, PSUs, Banks, etc shall utilise their services due to quality of the work and cost being offered and also this is safest and best, being G2G in nature.
It is worthwhile to mention here that this five-day exclusive mega-expo is being organised in Greater Noida from 26th to 30th May in which all kinds of international Printing and Packaging relating technologies are being displayed here and it is giving excellent exposure to the visitors wherein J&K teams are making most out of this opportunity given to them by the Admini-strative Department which is a rarity.
