JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir lost to Sports Authority of Gujarat (SAG) 0-3 in the opening group-D match in the 8th Hockey India Sub Junior (Men) National Championship (B Division) which got underway at Hojai Hockey Stadium in Assam today.
As per the reports reaching here, the young J&K team could not do well and conceded their first goal in the very sixth minute when Viveksinh Rajput sounded the board. However, J&K stopped Gujarat boys from improving the tally in the rest of the first half play.
Entering into the first half with one goal lead, SAG improved the lead in the 50th minute through Ajay Kumar Baria. The confident Gujarat added another goal with Viveksinh Rajput scoring his second goal in the 58th minute.
