JAMMU: Constitution of Prison Development Board in terms of Para 31.16 of Chapter XXXI of J&K Prison Manual 2022 .
“In terms of para 31.16 of Chapter XXXI of the Prison Manual, 2022, sanction is accorded to the constitution of Prison Development Board,” reads an order issued Raj Kumar Goyal, Financial Commissioner/ Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department.
The Board would be headed by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha as its chairman while Administrative Secretary Finance Department, Administrative Secretary Home (Prisons), Department, Director General of Police, J&K, Director General of Prosecution, J&K, Registrar General, High Court of J&K and Ladakh, Administrative Secretary Revenue Department, Administrative Secretary, Law Department (all Ex-officio Directors) and Director General of Prisons, J&K, (HoPD), Ex-officio Managing Director.
Dr Adil Bashir, Asst Professor, Department of Social Work, University of Kashmir and Pallavi Singh, Project Coordinator J&K SPYM, Jammu will be its Members.
