J&K LG, CM greet people on eve of Navreh, Ugadi, Gudi Padava
JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday extended greetings to the people on the eve of Navreh, Chaitra Sukladi, Ugadi, Gudi Padava and Cheti Chand.
In a message, the Lt Governor said, “On the auspicious occasion of Navreh, Chaitra Sukladi, Ugadi, Gudi Padava and Cheti Chand, I extend my greetings and good wishes to all.”
He said these festivals, celebrated across the country, herald the dawn of the New Year and embody a spirit of renewal of faith and hope.
“May these festivals bring prosperity, peace and happiness in everyone’s life and also promote the spirit of oneness and harmony,” he said.
Abdullah also conveyed his greetings on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri, describing it as a festival that marks the beginning of the New Year and symbolises the triumph of truth, righteousness and virtue over evil.
“On this auspicious occasion, I extend my warm wishes to everyone for their success, happiness and well-being,” he said.
The chief minister also extended his felicitations to the Kashmiri Pandit community on the occasion of Navreh.
“May these festivals strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and inspire us to dedicate ourselves to the service of humanity,” he said. (PTI)
