JAMMU: The board members of Kalarippayattu Association of Jammu and Kashmir, an affiliate unit of the Indian Kalarippayattu Federation, appreciated the Union Sports Minister, Kiren Rijiju for having included Kalarippayattu in Khelo India Youth Games 2021.
“With a view to promote and propagate Kalarippayattu we are quite sure that this decision will pave the way for international competitions including the entry into Olympics. Indian Kalarippayattu Federation views it as a boon to Kalarippayattu, mother of all Martial Arts Kalari Gurus students and officials in India and abroad are really indebted to the Minister, severally and jointly,” said General Secretary of the Association, Danish Sharma.
