J&K Kalarippayattu team leaves for National C’ship

JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (JKUT) Kalarippayattu team on Monday left for 15th National Kalarippayattu Championship 2023.
After the selection trials conducted on the basis of performance in 6th J&K UT Kalarippayattu Championship 2023, the 37-member team comprising 23 boys, 11 girls, two coaches and one manager left for the national championship scheduled to be held at LNCPE Indoor Sports Complex, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala from August 11 to 13, 2023.
The Kalarippayattu team left in presence of Manjeet Singh (Chairman-Kalarippayattu Association of J&K), Rajeev Sharma (Member J&K Sports Council), Vikas Gupta (Joint Secretary- J&K Olympic Association), Danish Sharma (General Secretary Kalarippayattu Association of J&K), Arshad Aziz (Joint Secretary KAJK ), T P Singh (Sports enthusiast), Suraj Bhan (Chief Judo Coach) and Anil Gupta (Indian Yoga Team Coach).
The team: Ritvik Choudhary, Umair Ashaq Pintoo, Bilal Bashir Mir, Danish Shabir, Jaideep Manhas, Tajamul Ahmad Khan, Tarun Gupta, Rudrakshit Gupta, Mohammad Zaheem Malik, Amanat Ashaq Yatoo, Saksham Langeh, Faizan Mushtaq, Faizan Sofi, Azhar Rashid, Maroof Gulzar, Zamid Riyaz, Imran Akber Wani, Arsalan Abid, Dawood Ibrahim, Maroof Gulzar, Koushal Garg, Tejshree Singh, Seerat Iqbal, Gungun Tickoo, Anjali Charak, Tanzeela Nazir, Tanziya Ayoub Mir, Dua Mukhtar, Rishika Sharma, Palak Sharma, Sachi Chib, Anjali Kumari and Anjali Charak.
Arshad Aziz and Rajat Bhagat will accompany the team as Coaches and Danish Sharma as Manager.
